(GL) Did you know you can set up Cougar Mountain so that
you can run reports = for only the division(s)/department(s) you're interested in?

need to run reports on the income and expenses for your particular = department within
your company. The General Ledger accounts have been = set up in such a way that the income
accounts begin with 4, expense = accounts begin with a 5, and all the accounts for your
department end in = '.01.' Set up a GL Advanced Filter Code of '4*.01' and call it 'INC1'
= and another filter code of '5*.01', and call it 'EXP1.'=20 =20 When it's time to run the
reports, simply select the GL report you want = to run, check the 'Use Advanced Filter'
checkbox, and select the 'DPT1' = or the 'INC1' filter. The system will pull out only the
activity in the = income (accounts starting with '4') and expense (accounts starting with
= '5') accounts, but only for your particular department. You can use this = filtering
feature to track many different kinds of account activity. = Asterisks (*) are wildcards
for multiple characters, and question marks = (?) are wildcards for single characters. =20
